Ellie has been my powerlifting coach for 4 years now, I had not exercised since I was a child before meeting her. Ellie has a friendly happy conversational demeanour. She has consistently encouraged and supported me with versatile programming. Being in my 50s sometimes certain exercises are painful due to injury, Ellie will change my programme in an instant due to her vast range of knowledge. I would highly recommend Ellie. She is very approachable and has great knowledge about how the body works ,and the sport that I enjoy (powerlifting.) Ellie has a great understanding in what I want too achieve and provide my program, which always has the tools too motivate me. I've seen a great improvement in my fitness and more of an understanding of my body and how my program works with my body. Ellie has given me confidence, the strength and the knowledge that age is only a number too compete in International competition. Thank you Ellie you are amazing.

Ellie has been my coach in powerlifting for 4 years now. Though always have a passion in lifting, I never competed in powerlifting before meeting Ellie. Not only Ellie customizes powerlifting programs on monthly basis adjusted to my needs and lifestyle, but also she always provides immense support on competition days and nutritional guidance. As a personal trainer myself, I have gained a lot of knowledge from Ellie’s coaching style: always enabling and empowering but never intimidating. Her insight into the sport industry is invaluable which is vital for the longevity in powerlifting for me. I am looking forward to years to come working with Ellie to get stronger.

I have known Ellie Steel for a number of years, initially through her own athletic achievements. Later I met her and was lucky enough to be coached by her for my Powerlifting development . From the beginning, Ellie has encouraged me and shown great patience with my work. We have worked together and have supported each other in leads up to important competitions. Ellie has only been training me for a couple weeks and, in that space of time, she has made me reach numbers I thought I would never be possible with the correct technique and mindset. She is such a thoughtful person and coach who has a strong passion for powerlifting. Ellie has a lot of knowledge about the sport she loves most and will use that to help anyone succeed, whilst also taking the time to listen and reassure any doubts that I may have. Ellie has been programming and coaching me for over a year. She has coached me to PBs at national and international competitions. She is knowledgeable, professional and easy to communicate with. She analyses my lifting and adjusts my training to target weak areas. We regularly analyse, adjust and improve. Ellie also knows when to push me harder, or encourage calmness using her intuition and attentive nature.

I first met Ellie at a competition I attended on my own and she helped me in the warm up area. I was really doubting myself and when it was time for deadlifts Ellie asked if she could do my numbers for me. For my last deadlift she went all out and asked for 110kg on the bar and told me she had seen me warm up and knew I was capable of lifting it (I had only ever lifted a max of 105kg before and that had been a struggle) and she was so right, I couldn’t believe how easy it came up! A few months later I made one of my best decisions and asked Ellie to be my coach. A lot of my training is done remotely so I film my main lifts (and some accessory work) and send them over to Ellie, she views each clip and comments on each exercise with any improvements and lots of encouragement. If I send my videos over while I am training Ellie normally comments straight away and it really does feel like she is there in the gym with me. Ellie also arranges group training sessions with the rest of the team which are great as everyone is so encouraging. The programs Ellie writes are easy to follow and she always takes time to explain new exercises and encourages me to understand the benefits of each exercise. Ellie is not only my coach but a great friend too and she has this knack of knowing exactly what I am capable of and knows how to get me to believe in myself and push out of my comfort zone. I feel so lucky to have an amazing coach and friend!
